White: On November 3, Yukoners can Vote for a Better Path Forward

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

 October 30, 2025

Territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta’an Kwäch’än Council – As election day nears, Yukon NDP Leader Kate White shared a final message to voters: this election, Yukoners can vote for a government they can count on.

“Yukoners are looking for a team they can count on, and on election day, you have the opportunity to vote for it,” said White. “This campaign is about a choice: you can vote for the same old politics… the same old parties, influenced by the same corporate donors – or you can choose a better path. You can vote for the Yukon NDP.”

White laid out this election as a clear decision between the Conservative Yukon Party – who are funded by corporate and out-of-country donors hiding behind numbered companies – or a Yukon NDP government that will put Yukoners first.

A recent poll released by Pollara, one week ahead of election day, shows that the only alternative to the Conservative Yukon Party is the Yukon NDP. Polling at a low of just 11%, the Liberal Party no longer has a path to re-election. In this election, a united progressive voter base is the only way to stop the Conservative Yukon Party.

“Regardless of who you’ve voted for in the past, progressive Yukoners can come together in this election to vote for a better path forward,” White added.

Appealing to those looking for a trustworthy government, White laid out a vision of hope – grounded in her party’s costed platform offering real solutions to the challenges and opportunities ahead of the territory.

Over the course of the campaign, the party has welcomed endorsements from frontline healthcare workers, the Yukon carpenters’ and public service unions and support from countless first-time volunteers, including former Yukon Party and Liberal voters.

If elected, a Yukon NDP government will work for Yukoners first – with a plan to lower costs for hard-working families, to deliver better healthcare, to ensure that every child in every Yukon school has access to nutritious food, and to make the dream of homeownership a reality for more first-time home buyers.

“I’ve always said, I got involved in politics because this work is about people,” said White. “When we focus on people, we can make life better. With your vote, that’s what a Yukon NDP government will do.”
