Carmen Gustafson

MLA for Riverdale North

Carmen is the Yukon NDP MLA for Riverdale North. She serves as the critic for Energy, Mines and Resources, Justice, the Yukon Liquor Corporation, and Yukon Lotteries Commission.

As an experienced advocate and former lawyer, Carmen has protected the rights of people and the environment for years. 

Carmen is not new to politics, having been a municipal councillor and environmental advocate in her hometown of Golden, BC. She worked as a lawyer for 12 years, first representing residential school survivors, then as the lawyer at the Yukon Law Line and later in environmental and natural resources law at the Yukon government. 

Carmen has also served as the Deputy Chief Adjudicator for the Yukon Human Rights Panel of Adjudicators.
