REALITY CHECK: Empty promises with no plan; Conservative Yukon Party Platform asks Yukoners for a blank cheque

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 23, 2025

After years of claiming to care about Yukon government deficits, the Conservative Yukon Party turned in their platform, released today, without a single cent accounted for.

The platform contains Currie Dixon’s first broken campaign promise – before the election has even wrapped – promising “respect, transparency, and collaboration” while providing Yukoners none of the above in their platform.

The document promises millions in new spending with no plan on how much those promises will cost and how they will raise the money. The platform amounts to a wish list from a party asking Yukon voters for a blank cheque.

It’s a sharp contrast to the fully costed platform released by the Yukon NDP today, with costing for every commitment made and annual costing over the course of the next four years.

This election, the choice for voters couldn’t be clearer. Yukoners deserve a team they can count on.
