Linda Moen

MLA for Mountainview

Linda is the Yukon NDP MLA for Mountainview, serving the communities of McIntyre, Granger, Valleyview and Hillcrest. She serves as the critic for Education, the Public Services Commission and the Women and Gender Equity Directorate.

Prior to being elected as an MLA, Linda served as a Kwanlin Dün First Nation councillor. Elected in 2023, Linda delivered results for her nation — creating more jobs for young people, building dozens of new housing units and making the community safer for families. She worked together with women’s organizations and the RCMP to make the territory safer, serving as the negotiator for the historic agreement, Together for Safety.

Linda led the creation of the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre in her role as Chair of the Board of Governors for Kwanlin Dün First Nation. Before this, she worked as a public servant for the Government of Canada for 20 years, where she took on leadership positions at the Public Service Alliance of Canada and was a founding member of the  Yukon Indigenous Peoples Committee, which is still active today.

For 6 years, Linda served the community as a member of the Elijah Smith School Board.

A longtime Mountainview resident, she raised her family in the community she still proudly calls home.
